The Matrice 4D Series flight battery holds 6,768 mAh and 149.9 Wh, half again the energy of the Matrice 4 Series pack, which is where the 4D and 4TD get their longer endurance from.
It charges on the Matrice 4D Series 240 W charging hub, and in a DJI Dock 3 the aircraft charges in place without the battery being handled at all.

The battery
How is it charged, and how long does it take?
In DJI Dock 3 or in the Matrice 4D Series 240W Charging Hub, never in the aircraft. From 15%, the hub takes about 40 minutes to full in Standard mode or about 30 minutes to 90% in Ready-to-Fly; the dock takes about 37 minutes to full, or about 27 minutes to 95%.
What are its temperature limits?
It operates from -20°C to 45°C, with reduced endurance in the cold. Plan flight time accordingly. It supports low-temperature self-heating charging.
What are the screw holes at the back for?
Mounting a parachute or other payloads.
