Overview
About this product.
This is the fixed-deployment version of the D-RTK 3, and it is a different physical unit from the Multifunctional Station rather than the same station in a different mode. It runs as a relay station: extending the link between aircraft and operator, rather than providing survey corrections or acting as a rover.
It takes power and data over one Ethernet cable using PoE, from a Dock 3’s own PoE output port, or a third-party Type 3 or Type 4 supply, and draws about 14.5 W relaying. That power budget also feeds heating, which is why it is rated from -30°C where the portable station stops at -20°C. It weighs approximately 2.24 kg against the portable unit’s 1.26 kg.
The choice between the two is deployment rather than capability: this one is installed and left, and the Multifunctional Station is carried to the job.

Questions
Questions we’re asked.
The relay
What does the D-RTK 3 Relay do?
Set at a high point, it relays the link between Dock 3 and the aircraft where the signal is obstructed. It is available only where the 5 GHz band is permitted.
What does it work with?
DJI Dock 3 and the Matrice 4D Series, one aircraft at a time, and not on its own without a dock. It is relay-only; the D-RTK 3 Multifunctional Station adds base and mobile modes for other aircraft.
Where should it go?
Within about 1 km of the dock with clear line of sight and no obstruction or interference, and under 100 m from it during linking. Site selection uses a 4D Series aircraft and controller following DJI Pilot 2’s instructions; deployment and activation use the DJI Enterprise app or DJI Assistant 2.
How is it powered?
Over PoE from the dock’s port for cable runs under 100 m; beyond that, a separate Type 4 PoE supply over 30 W. Its PoE module is not removable, and a built-in battery keeps it working for a while after an outage.
What range does it give, and does it provide RTK?
Up to 25 km of video transmission unobstructed and free of interference. The aircraft compares RTK data from the dock and the relay and uses the better source. After replacing the aircraft, re-link it with the dock; after replacing the dock, re-link relay and dock.
