Overview
About this product.
The DJI Zenmuse H30 is a multi-sensor enterprise payload designed for detailed visual inspection and situational awareness across demanding professional environments. It combines a 48MP wide-angle camera, 40MP zoom camera, laser range finder and NIR auxiliary light within a single three-axis stabilised payload, giving operators broad site context, detailed long-range imagery, target distance measurement and enhanced low-light visibility without changing sensors.
Its zoom camera provides up to 34× optical zoom and 400× maximum digital zoom, allowing smaller asset details to be inspected while maintaining greater separation between the aircraft and the subject. Electronic dehazing and foreground stabilisation further improve image usability when working across long distances or in atmospheric conditions that would otherwise reduce visibility.
For operations extending beyond daylight hours, Night Scene mode and an integrated 850 nm NIR auxiliary light provide additional visibility in dark environments. Combined with a laser range finder capable of measuring targets from 3 m to 3,000 m, the H30 provides a versatile visual inspection platform for organisations that require detailed observation, measurement and documentation across large or difficult-to-access assets.
Long-Range Visual Inspection
- 40MP Zoom Camera: A 1/1.8-inch CMOS sensor captures high-resolution imagery for detailed inspection of distant infrastructure, equipment and other assets.
- 34× Optical Zoom: Extended optical reach allows operators to examine fine details without positioning the aircraft as close to the asset being inspected.
- Up to 400× Digital Zoom: Additional digital magnification provides greater flexibility when locating and observing distant subjects.
- 48MP Wide-Angle Camera: A 1/1.3-inch CMOS sensor with a 24 mm equivalent lens provides detailed imagery and a wider field of view for overall site and asset context.
- Foreground Stabilisation: DJI's image stabilisation algorithms reduce visible shake when working at higher magnifications, supporting applications such as detailed powerline and infrastructure inspection.
- Electronic Dehazing: Low and high dehazing settings help improve zoom-camera image clarity when atmospheric humidity, fog or haze reduces visibility.
- Smart Capture: Automatically adjusts camera parameters around the scene and available lighting to improve image quality across changing inspection conditions.
- High-Res Grid Photo: Capture higher-resolution detail across a selected area for closer review, with grid photography supporting zoom levels up to 15×.
Night and Low-Light Operations
- Night Scene Mode: Optimised low-light processing improves visible-light imagery after dark, supporting continued inspection and monitoring as lighting conditions change.
- High-Sensitivity Zoom Camera: In Night Scene mode, the zoom camera supports ISO values up to 819,200 for improved visibility in very low-light environments.
- 48MP Wide Camera Night Imaging: The wide-angle camera also supports Night Scene operation, with ISO values up to 409,600.
- 850 nm NIR Auxiliary Light: Integrated near-infrared illumination provides additional visibility when ambient light is insufficient.
- Approx. 8 m Illumination Area at 100 m: Under DJI's stated conditions, the NIR light provides an illuminated area approximately 8 metres in diameter at a distance of 100 metres.
- Adjustable Night Scene Frame Rates: Operators can select 25 fps, 15 fps or 5 fps to balance image sensitivity, noise reduction and live-view smoothness for different low-light conditions.
Laser Ranging and Target Positioning
- 3 m to 3,000 m Measurement Range: The integrated laser range finder provides distance information across both close and long-range inspection scenarios, with actual performance dependent on the target and environmental conditions.
- 905 nm Laser Range Finder: A Class 1 laser is integrated directly into the H30 for remote target measurement and positioning.
- Long-Range Asset Measurement: Under DJI's specified conditions, typical measurement ranges include approximately 2,000 m for grassland, 1,900 m for woodland and 1,700 m for road surfaces.
- PinPoint Positioning: Laser ranging can be combined with aircraft positioning data to estimate the geographic location of observed assets or subjects. DJI specifies PinPoint accuracy of 20 m at a distance of 1 km after the required aircraft manoeuvre.
Intelligent Inspection Features
- Click to Aim: Quickly direct the camera towards a selected point within the live view, reducing manual gimbal adjustment during inspection.
- Video Pre-Recording: The H30 Series supports pre-recording, allowing footage immediately preceding the operator pressing record to be retained.
- Timestamp Support: Captured imagery can include timestamp information to assist with inspection records and operational documentation.
- General Mapping Support: The H30 Series can also support general surveying and mapping workflows, with DJI specifying horizontal mapping accuracy of ≤10 cm under its stated test conditions. Dedicated photogrammetry payloads remain better suited to high-accuracy survey applications.
- DJI FlightHub 2 Integration: The payload can form part of DJI FlightHub 2 workflows for mission management, live viewing and wider enterprise operations.
Built for Professional Field Operations
- IP54 Protection: The DJI Zenmuse H30 carries an IP54 protection rating under controlled laboratory conditions, supporting professional outdoor operations.
- Three-Axis Stabilised Gimbal: Tilt, roll and pan stabilisation provides a stable imaging platform for detailed long-range visual inspection.
- Approx. 920 g Payload Weight: The H30 Series weighs approximately 920 g, integrating its four H30 sensor modules into a single gimbal payload.
- DJI SKYPORT Mount: A detachable DJI SKYPORT interface allows the H30 to be installed across compatible DJI Enterprise aircraft.
- Encrypted microSD Support: The Zenmuse H30 supports DJI's Security Code functionality for encrypting data stored on the installed microSD card.
Compatible DJI Aircraft
The DJI Zenmuse H30 is compatible with the DJI Matrice 400, Matrice 350 RTK and Matrice 300 RTK, with the Matrice 300 RTK requiring DJI RC Plus. The payload can be mounted on any compatible gimbal port across these supported platforms, providing flexibility when configuring aircraft for inspection or multi-payload operations.
When paired with the DJI Matrice 400, the H30 provides a strong platform for long-range visual inspection, asset management and infrastructure monitoring, particularly where thermal imaging is not required. Compared with the H30T, the H30 retains the wide-angle camera, zoom camera, laser range finder and NIR auxiliary light but does not include the infrared thermal camera.
