Overview
About this product.
The AP100 is an independent parachute recovery system for the Matrice 400. It deploys in 600 ms or less and brings the aircraft down at 5 m/s or slower, from a minimum effective deployment altitude of 30 m.
It runs on its own power, around an hour of backup, and carries its own Flight Termination System control, so it does not depend on the aircraft’s systems being alive to work. Deployment can be manual or automatic.
The system supports a maximum takeoff weight of 15.8 kg, which is the Matrice 400’s own maximum, so fitting it does not reduce what the aircraft is rated to lift, though the bracket and parachute together weigh about 935 g, which comes out of payload. It is rated IP55 and operates from -20°C to 50°C.
