Overview
About this product.
The DJI Matrice 400 H30T Combo combines DJI's flagship enterprise aircraft with the Zenmuse H30T multi-sensor inspection payload in a package designed for detailed visual, thermal and low-light operations. The Matrice 400 provides extended flight endurance, a maximum payload capacity of 6 kg, advanced obstacle sensing and IP55 protection, creating a capable platform for inspections across large, complex and difficult-to-access sites.
This combo includes the core Matrice 400 package together with the DJI Zenmuse H30T and two additional batteries, providing three aircraft batteries in total. It is particularly suited to organisations working across energy and utilities, infrastructure, asset management, renewables, facilities and public safety where long-range visual inspection, radiometric thermal data and reliable operation across changing conditions are required.
Zenmuse H30T
The DJI Zenmuse H30T is a five-sensor enterprise payload combining a 48MP wide-angle camera, 40MP zoom camera, high-resolution infrared thermal camera, laser range finder and NIR auxiliary light in a single three-axis stabilised system. Designed for detailed inspection and situational awareness, it allows operators to move between wide-area context, long-range visual detail, thermal information and precise distance measurement without changing payloads.
Its zoom camera supports 34× hybrid optical zoom and up to 400× maximum zoom, allowing operators to assess assets and identify details from a safe distance. The integrated laser range finder measures targets from 3 m to 3,000 m under supported conditions and can provide information including distance, altitude and GPS coordinates.
For thermal inspection, the H30T uses a native 1280 × 1024 infrared sensor with radiometric temperature measurement, up to 32× digital zoom and UHR Infrared Image capability. Temperature measurement supports multiple gain modes, with measurement ranges extending up to 1,600°C when used with the appropriate Infrared Density Filter, making the payload suitable for applications ranging from electrical and renewable-energy inspection to industrial monitoring and emergency response.
Flexible Payload Compatibility
While the Matrice 400 H30T Combo is supplied with the Zenmuse H30T, the aircraft remains a flexible multi-payload platform and can be reconfigured as operational requirements change. Compatible options include the Zenmuse L3 and L2 for LiDAR surveying, Zenmuse P1 for photogrammetry, as well as the Zenmuse S1 Spotlight, V1 Speaker, Manifold 3 and supported third-party payloads. This allows the same Matrice 400 aircraft to support inspection, thermal imaging, surveying, mapping, asset management and other enterprise workflows beyond its primary H30T configuration.

Questions
Questions we’re asked.
Power-line inspection
Which lines does the power-line inspection feature support?
Single, twin, quad, hexa and octo-bundled conductors and ground wires, inclined at less than 60°. It works only on the Matrice 400 carrying a Zenmuse H30 Series payload.
Does it need RTK?
No. The aircraft follows the sag of the line as it flies along it, without a pre-built model or a high-accuracy route. Enable RTK if the photo positions will be used to localise defects afterwards.
Will the aircraft fly around obstacles on the line?
No. Near a tree or a building it brakes and hovers; you fly over the obstacle by hand, capture the missed section and resume. Flying between phases is not recommended, because the aircraft works close to the conductors. Gimbal pitch can be adjusted during the inspection.
Any capture settings worth knowing?
The feature does not use the H30T’s 8K mode (DJI says it adds little visually and slows the shot interval) and it saves the zoom camera’s photos only, not wide-angle or thermal frames alongside them. Clear, well-lit days give the best results.
