DJI Modify - Flagship - 1Year

DJI Modify Flagship is intelligent 3D model editing software designed to streamline the process of refining point clouds and reconstructed 3D models. Point cloud tools support smoothing, noise reduction, downsampling, classification and category adjustment, while intelligent mesh editing tools help identify and repair common modelling defects including floating objects, holes, unwanted vehicles, irregular surfaces and texture issues.

The 1-year licence provides access to DJI Modify's complete professional editing toolset for a 12-month term. Working seamlessly alongside DJI Terra, Modify extends the drone mapping workflow beyond reconstruction, allowing surveying, construction, infrastructure, asset management and geospatial teams to clean, optimise and prepare their datasets for professional delivery, analysis and visualisation.

Seamless DJI Terra and Modify Workflow

• Direct DJI Terra Integration: Launch DJI Modify directly from compatible DJI Terra reconstruction projects for a connected workflow from data processing through to model refinement.
• Prepared Editing Data: DJI Terra can generate the files required by Modify during the reconstruction workflow, helping reduce additional preparation before model editing begins.
• End-to-End Processing: Combine DJI Enterprise data capture, DJI Terra reconstruction and DJI Modify editing within a connected workflow for producing refined professional deliverables.
• Efficient Project Management: Move between reconstruction and editing workflows without relying on multiple unrelated software packages for common model correction tasks.

Intelligent Point Cloud Editing

• Point Cloud Noise Reduction: Identify and remove isolated or unwanted points to produce cleaner point cloud datasets and improve overall data quality.
• Point Cloud Smoothing: Reduce local irregularities and discrete noise to create clearer surfaces and improve the representation of structures within the point cloud.
• Flexible Downsampling: Reduce point cloud density by distance or percentage to create more manageable datasets while retaining the information required for downstream applications.
• Large Point Cloud Support: Import individual LAS point cloud files containing up to 4.2 billion points, with supported dataset size scaling according to available system memory.
• Profile View: Inspect point cloud data from a profile perspective to assist with detailed classification, selection and refinement.

Intelligent Classification and Selection

• Smart Point Cloud Classification: Automatically classify point cloud data into categories including ground, vegetation, buildings, power lines, electrical towers, dynamic objects and vehicles.
• Terrain Filtering: Quickly extract ground points from point cloud datasets to support terrain-focused surveying and mapping workflows.
• Smart Selection Tools: Refine automatically classified datasets using intelligent selection tools based on structures, geometry and point characteristics.
• Colour-Based Selection: Select points with matching or similar colours to quickly identify and reclassify specific objects or areas.
• Manual Classification: Use polygon, rectangular, brush and individual point selection tools to correct classification results and make detailed adjustments.
• ASPRS Classification Support: Work with recognised ASPRS point cloud classes when organising and exporting classified datasets.

Terrain Result Generation

• Ground Point Refinement: Clean and refine classified ground data before generating terrain-based outputs.
• Digital Elevation Models: Generate DEM results from refined ground point cloud data for use within compatible surveying, GIS, engineering and mapping software.
• TIN Generation: Produce Triangulated Irregular Network results and visualise terrain using elevation-based colouring.
• Improved Terrain Deliverables: Remove unwanted objects and non-ground points before terrain generation to help produce cleaner representations of the underlying surface.

Intelligent 3D Mesh Repair

• Floating Object Removal: Identify and remove unwanted floating geometry and modelling artefacts from reconstructed 3D models.
• Hole Filling: Repair missing sections within compatible mesh models to create more complete and continuous surfaces.
• Vehicle Removal: Identify unwanted vehicles captured during reconstruction and remove them from the finished model.
• Surface Flattening: Correct irregular mesh areas and create smoother, more consistent representations of surfaces.
• Water Surface Repair: Repair distorted or irregular water surfaces commonly created during photogrammetric reconstruction.
• Flexible Selection Tools: Apply automatic repair functions or manually define areas requiring adjustment for greater control over model editing.

Texture Repair and Model Refinement

• Texture Repair: Correct damaged or visually inconsistent texture areas to produce cleaner and more realistic finished models.
• Image-Assisted Repair: Use available reconstruction imagery when repairing model textures and filling compatible mesh areas.
• High and Low Quality Model Editing: Work with both detailed and lightweight model representations within the same editing environment.
• Synchronized Model Changes: Render completed edits across model representations so corrections are reflected throughout the final dataset.
• Version History: Automatically create historical project versions during key rendering operations, helping preserve previous stages of the editing workflow.

Export and Delivery

• Multiple 3D Model Formats: Export finished mesh models in formats including B3DM, OSGB, PLY, OBJ and S3MB for use across compatible third-party applications.
• Flexible Point Cloud Export: Export edited point clouds in LAS 1.2, LAS 1.4, PNTS, PLY, PCD and S3MB formats.
• Coordinate Preservation: Maintain the coordinate system of compatible imported models throughout the editing and export workflow.
• Cloud Sharing: Upload supported models for cloud-based viewing and sharing, helping streamline delivery to customers and project stakeholders.
