Platform overview

Where Dock 4 earns its place

DJI Dock 4 is designed for organisations that need an aircraft positioned in the field and ready to respond without waiting for a pilot to travel to site. Its automatic battery-swapping system can replace the Matrice 5TD battery in 25 seconds [1], allowing the aircraft to return to service quickly for urgent callouts, repeat inspections and operations requiring sustained aerial coverage. Through DJI FlightHub 2 and the DJI O4 Ground Station [2], operators can remotely dispatch the aircraft, view low-latency live video and manage automated missions from another location. During supported FlyTo tasks, the Matrice 5TD can travel to the scene at up to 21 m/s [4] and remain airborne for up to 59 minutes [5], helping teams access current site information sooner. The Matrice 5TD combines visible-light and thermal imaging, laser ranging, LiDAR, millimetre-wave radar and onboard AI capable of detecting 17 object types. This gives the platform the sensing and imaging capabilities needed for emergency response, site security, infrastructure inspection and other operations requiring reliable information during the day or at night. The result is a remote drone platform built for rapid response and repeated operation. Automatic battery swapping reduces the time between flights, while DJI FlightHub 2 brings live views, mission control, alerts, data analysis and reporting into one connected workflow.
