Overview
About this product.
The TB100 is the Matrice 400’s flight battery: 20,254 mAh at a standard 48.23 V, giving 977 Wh from a 13-cell lithium-ion pack weighing 4,720 g.
On a BS100 station at 220 V it charges from empty in 45 minutes in fast mode, or 110 minutes in silent mode where noise matters. Self-heating is supported three ways, in the aircraft, in the station, and on the battery alone, which is what makes cold-weather starts practical.
The two temperature ranges are not the same and the difference matters in the field: it charges between 5°C and 45°C, but discharges from -20°C to 75°C. Rated for 400 cycles.

Questions
Questions we’re asked.
The battery
How is it charged, and how long does it take?
In the BS100 battery station. On 220 V, about 45 minutes to full in fast mode or 110 in silent mode; on 110 V, about 70 or 110, DJI’s figures at 25°C.
Does it self-heat?
Yes. Below 5°C in the station it heats itself to 20°C before charging starts; below 20°C in the aircraft it heats to 20°C and then holds that temperature.
Can it be hot-swapped?
Yes. The aircraft’s capacitor carries the essentials through a swap without a shutdown sequence. Complete it within 45 seconds to resume quickly. To shut down instead, short-press then long-press the power button.
How do I know it is seated?
Lock it fully before pressing the handle down, then press until it clicks. Its USB-C port charges and transfers data.
