Overview
About this product.
The TB100C is the Matrice 400’s tethered-operation battery. A tethered flight draws power up the tether from the ground rather than from a pack sized for endurance, which is what lets a flight last hours instead of minutes, for persistent overwatch of a fixed area.
It charges in the BS100 Intelligent Battery Station alongside the standard TB100 flight batteries. DJI publishes no separate capacity or energy figures for it; talk to us about what a tethered configuration needs.
Key capabilities
- For tethered Matrice 400 operations
- Charges in the BS100 station
Typical applications
Persistent overwatch of a fixed area, where flight duration matters more than range.
Questions
Questions we’re asked.
The battery
How is the TB100C different from the TB100?
It is the tethered version: it must be used with a DJI ecosystem partner’s tethered power system, or with a partner’s dock in dock mode. The partner supplies the details. The cable that leaves it carries current and must never be used to lift the battery.
Does it self-heat and hot-swap like the TB100?
Yes on both counts: below 5°C in the BS100 station it heats to 20°C before charging; in the aircraft it heats to 20°C and holds; and the aircraft’s capacitor carries a swap completed within 45 seconds.
