Zenmuse V1

The DJI Zenmuse V1 is a professional aerial speaker designed for DJI's multi-payload enterprise drone platforms. It combines high-volume audio output, long broadcast range and multiple communication modes within a compact gimbal-mounted payload, allowing operators to deliver instructions, warnings and other information to people on the ground from a safe operating distance.

When paired with the DJI Matrice 400, the V1 provides a maximum sound pressure level of 129 dB at 1 metre and an effective broadcast distance of up to 700 metres under DJI's stated test conditions. Operators can broadcast live through DJI Pilot 2, play imported audio files, record and replay messages, or generate spoken announcements using text-to-speech.

The V1 can also operate alongside other payloads on the Matrice 400, allowing audio communication to be combined with camera, thermal, spotlight and other operational capabilities. This makes it particularly useful where teams need to observe a situation, communicate with people on the ground and coordinate a response from the same aircraft platform.

Powerful Long-Range Broadcasting

• 800 Hz to 8 kHz Effective Bandwidth: The speaker is optimised around the frequency range required for clear voice communication.
• Intelligent Volume Adjustment: When paired with the Matrice 400, automatic gain control can adjust the volume of live recordings and audio files to help maintain consistent playback levels.
• Directional Broadcasting: DJI Pilot 2 can display the speaker's orientation using AR projection, helping operators understand where the audio is being directed during flight.

Multiple Broadcast Modes

• Real-Time Broadcasting: With the DJI Matrice 400, operators can speak through the V1 in real time using DJI Pilot 2, supporting immediate communication during evolving situations.
• Anti-Howling Algorithm: Real-time broadcasting incorporates anti-howling processing to improve audio clarity and reduce feedback during live communication.
• Record and Broadcast: Messages can be recorded locally, stored and then played through the speaker when required.
• Text-to-Speech: Enter written messages and convert them into spoken announcements. When used with Matrice 400, supported languages include English, Chinese, Spanish, Korean, Japanese and French.
• Audio File Playback: Import MP3, AAC and WAV files for pre-prepared announcements, warnings or operational messages.
• Simultaneous Transfer and Playback: When paired with Matrice 400, audio files can be transferred while another file is playing, reducing delays between announcements.
• Loop Playback and Volume Control: Operators can start, stop and loop audio while adjusting broadcast volume to suit the situation.

Intelligent Audio and Gimbal Control

• Directional Audio Recording: The remote controller supports directional audio pickup and environmental noise reduction, improving the quality of live messages sent to the V1.
• Single-Axis Stabilised Gimbal: Tilt stabilisation keeps the speaker directed towards the intended area as the aircraft moves.
• Gimbal Synchronisation: The V1 can synchronise with other gimbal-equipped payloads, helping keep the speaker aligned with the area being viewed by a camera or other sensor.
• Follow, Free and Re-Centre Modes: Multiple gimbal-control options allow the speaker orientation to be adapted to different operational requirements.
• Controller Shortcut: A remote-controller button can be configured to start recording and then stop and broadcast the recorded message, simplifying communication during time-sensitive operations.

Multi-Payload Matrice 400 Operations

The DJI Matrice 400 provides the most capable Zenmuse V1 configuration, with the highest specified sound output, longest broadcast distance and support for real-time broadcasting. The V1 can be installed on any compatible Matrice 400 gimbal connector, allowing it to operate alongside imaging or specialist payloads where required.

This multi-payload capability allows organisations to combine the V1 with equipment such as the Zenmuse H30 or H30T for visual and thermal situational awareness, or the Zenmuse S1 where both illumination and aerial communication are required. Operators can therefore assess a situation, identify areas of interest and communicate instructions from the same aircraft platform.

DJI FlightHub 2 and Enterprise Integration

• DJI FlightHub 2 Support: Zenmuse V1 is supported within DJI FlightHub 2, allowing the speaker to form part of wider fleet management and remote enterprise drone workflows.
• DJI Pilot 2 Control: Broadcast modes, audio playback, gimbal orientation and other payload functions can be managed through the DJI Pilot 2 interface.
• Mobile SDK Integration: DJI's Mobile SDK allows organisations and developers to incorporate V1 functionality into customised mobile applications and specialised operational workflows.
• Payload SDK Integration: When used with the Matrice 400 and Manifold 3, V1 capabilities can be integrated into customised applications through DJI Payload SDK.

Compatible DJI Aircraft

The DJI Zenmuse V1 is compatible with the DJI Matrice 400, Matrice 350 RTK and Matrice 300 RTK, with the Matrice 300 RTK and Matrice 350 RTK requiring DJI RC Plus. The V1 can be installed on any compatible gimbal connector across these supported aircraft platforms.

Performance varies by aircraft. With the Matrice 400, DJI specifies up to 129 dB at 1 metre and 700 metres effective broadcast distance, compared with 127 dB and up to 500 metres on the Matrice 350 RTK and Matrice 300 RTK under the stated conditions. Real-time broadcasting is also exclusive to the Matrice 400 configuration.
