About this product.
The AL1 is a compact spotlight for the Matrice 4 and Matrice 4D Series. It puts 4.3 lux on a target at 100 m and 17 lux at 50 m, covering 1,300 m² at 100 m in normal mode. Wide field-of-view mode trades intensity for area and covers 2,200 m² at the same height.
It runs always-on or strobe, and can be set to follow the gimbal so the light tracks where the camera is pointed. At 91 g excluding the bracket it costs very little payload capacity, and it operates from -20°C to 50°C. Fitted to a Matrice 4D Series aircraft it is rated IP55.

The spotlight
What can the AL1 do?
Constant and strobe modes, gimbal follow that can be switched off, and a wide-FOV mode that widens the beam with the wide camera at 1× zoom. It works alone or with the AS1 speaker stacked on top.
Which aircraft does it fit, and how?
The Matrice 4D Series and the Matrice 4 Series. Remove the bottom bracket, fit it before power-on, tighten the screws, re-tighten with the hex key on a dock, then activate online.
What changes in flight?
Upward obstacle avoidance is disabled once it is fitted, and avoidance switches off while the light is on; flight time drops; the housing gets hot. Never point it at eyes. Enable electronic defogging at altitude, and lower the brightness to save flight time.
