Overview
About this product.
The AS1 is a compact speaker for the Matrice 4 and Matrice 4D Series, reaching 114 dB at 1 m and broadcasting up to 300 m.
It plays live from the controller, plays back recorded audio, and converts typed text to speech: in Mandarin Chinese and English. Echo suppression keeps the aircraft’s own noise out of a live broadcast.
At 90 g excluding the bracket it costs very little payload capacity, and it operates from -20°C to 50°C. Fitted to a Matrice 4D Series aircraft it is rated IP55.

Questions
Questions we’re asked.
The speaker
What can the AS1 do?
Record and broadcast, play imported files, and text-to-speech in English and Mandarin, with live broadcast and echo suppression. It works alone or stacked with the AL1 spotlight.
Which aircraft does it fit?
The Matrice 4D Series and the Matrice 4 Series. On the 4D Series the bottom bracket is removed first.
How is it installed?
Fit it before powering the aircraft on, tighten the screws for the seal (and re-tighten with the hex key when it flies from a dock) then connect to the internet to activate and calibrate the compass. It updates with the aircraft firmware.
What changes in use?
Flight time and power margin drop. Use the standard controller and speak close to its microphone at a steady pace; play voices rather than single tones; do not use it near people or noise-sensitive places. Start and stop shortcuts live in DJI Pilot 2’s custom buttons.
